The AIGO EV5610 digital microscope features a 3.5" LCD monitor (640x480 pixels) with a digital eyepiece zoom of 10x, and three lenses ranging from 4x, 10x and 40x. A large range of 40 to 400 magnification is available with an extra 4x digital zoom up to 1600 magnification. The microscope is capable of recording both images and short videos.
The optical sensor is a 2.0 megapixel (1600 x 1200 pixel array) CMOS with a maximum image resolution of 2048 x 1536 and added auto white balance control. Illumination is provided by two LED sources for both transmission and reflection, however, the reflection measurements are limited to the 4x objective as the light is directed from the side and not through the objective. A five colour, fllter wheel is placed below the stage for use in transmission mode. The numerical aperture of the condenser is 0.65. Data can be easily transferred via the mini-USB cable.
The AIGO can be used free of charge but must be booked via the PPMS software.
