Optimal protection from microphonic noise
When a guitar cable is moved or stepped on, small electrical signals are created due to the change of the capacitance or due to electrostatic charges. This effect is called microphonic. It creates a disturbing crackling noise. Usually this phenomenon is avoided with the help of conductive plastics. Howevery, like this also sound quality is negatively affected. We have found our own technique to solve the problem of microphonic noise using natural materials - without compromizing sound quality.

Dual cable
Often acoustic instruments are fitted with a combination of pickups and built-in microphones in order to optimize the amplified sound-character. By mixing the two signals the sound and the feedback safety can be selectively controlled. The stereo instrument cable VOVOX® sonorus protect A twin was specifically developed for such dual pickup systems.

Connectors for VOVOX® sonorus protect A
Our pronounced goal is the perfect transmission of sound signals. To achieve this aim, the cable, but also the connectors, must fulfil our requirements. Since most phone plugs available on the market are designed with only their mechanical properties in mind, we use our own VOVOX® phone plugs: A ¼" phone plug offering both first class functionality and first class sound.

Stereo angled phone plugs are not available in VOVOX® phone plug quality. In this case we use connectors from Neutrik (NP3RX-BAG).

Straight or angled ¼" phone plugs?
For acoustic guitars that have their jack integrated in the strap button, angled plugs are usually the better choice. Like this it contributes to longer service life of both, cable and jack.
