Instructor Profile: Scott Calhoun is an experienced risk and information security consultant with over 15 years of related work in the public and private sector. Scott formerly specialized in business continuity and risk management planning while with Australian state governments before reorienting his career to become a specialist technical intelligence officer with the Australian Government, a role he spent the next ten years in. While so employed, he conducted and managed a wide range of activities directly related to cyber and communications security. It was also in this role that Scott became a standing adjunct instructor with the Australian Signals Intelligence Academy, and a guest lecturer at his Australian agencies American counterpart in 2009.

Before leaving the public service to consult on information security issues, Scott was engaged for several years as a diplomat specializing in security training and capacity building, and finally as a Director of security risk management.

Scott has spent a total of nearly ten years instructing on topics ranging from communications security to target profiling at locations all over the world including Afghanistan, Manila and Fort Meade. He has now brought this wealth of knowledge, as well as his engaging style of training to CyberLabs Academy as our specialist CISSP and CISM course instructor.
