Flexible Piezo Film Vibration Sensor
The flexible piezo film vibration sensor from DFRobot generates electricity when the film moves back and forth, allowing it to detect vibration, flexibility, impact and touch, you can even use it as an energy harvesting element, but that’s for another application.
The voltage product by a piezo vibration sensor is a sinusoidal wave with peaks of +/- 90V, making it unusable for most TTL micro-controller, luckily DFRobot has designed a converter board which outputs both digital and ****og signals, making it easily readable with most micro-controllers such as an Arduino. The sensor also features an on-board potentiometer to increase/decrease the sensitivity.
Sample Projects:
With this sensor you can create your own vibration monitoring system. For example, turning off electricity when it senses large vibration due to earthquakes, or alarms for machine tampering.
